Situated in the Township of Jefferson, County of Scioto and State of Ohio: Being a part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 1, Township 2, Range 21 and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a stone on the South side of the Township Road and 10 1/2 rods from the cornerstone set at the Northwest corner of a .40 acre tract (lot); said stone and said point of beginning being on the West boundary line of the said Section 1; thence Southeast along said Township Road and 15 feet from the center thereof 23 rods; thence Southwest with and along a road leading to the old Lintz Road, 30 rods and across said road to a stone 8 feet from a chestnut tree 30 inches in diameter; thence North with and along said West boundary line 22 1/2 rods to the place of beginning, containing 1 5/8 acre more or less. There is also conveyed a roadway running North from the Northwest corner of the herein described tract to the John Burchett Farm.
